Goodbye Winter!

As I sit looking out the window at the Blue Hills and the Boston skyline from my office window in Braintree waiting for spring, the snow stubbornly continues.  March is definitely going out like a lion around here. I just returned from a beautiful week in St. Maarten with my family where the temperature was 80 and the trade winds kept things comfortably cool. The picture above is looking out from my brother's condo on the Dutch side.  The other side of the island is French.  The French side is quieter but just as beautiful. In the small picture to the right my wife and daughter work the phone as usual, documenting our trip adventures.

The beaches on St. Maarten are spectacular. The water is the stunning green /turquoise color you dream about, especially when trudging through the winter slush around Boston this time of year.  One of my favorite spots is Mullet beach which is horseshoe shaped with great views from the surrounding cliffs. The beach crowd was an interesting mix of locals, students, and tourists. Everybody was swimming and having fun.

The food was also great - a nice place for lunch is the St. Maarten Yacht Club and Restaurant for grouper fingers and a drink on the outside deck watching the yachts go by. The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta was taking place during our visit.  This renowned sailing event features world class racing from 37 different countries featuring some of the most sophisticated sailboats in the world – all from the comfort of our own spectator boat enjoying a  few cold Heinekens, of course!

I was certain the good weather would continue here at home when we returned, but not quite. We are on our way though - the Red Sox are in the news and the clocks have sprung forward giving us longer days.  We are moving into a great time of year, let's all enjoy.   I hope to use this newsletter to get information out to you that I hope you find useful and maybe entertaining.

Let's stay in touch.  Connect with me on LinkedIn or contact me through email, phone, or stop by my office in Braintree at 30 Braintree Hill Office Park, Suite 201.

Until next time - Best Regards,
