A Whale Of A Good Time!

A Whale of A Good Time

By Chrissy McCormack

Well… just back from our annual Summer P-Town vacation where my husband, son and me go on my best friend and her families boat named “Murph’s Mob”.  This has been my childhood friend since middle school.  We went to high-school and college together and we travel with our families at least twice a year for the past 25 years or so.  Our children, their daughter, Lilly (10) and my son, Aidan who is also 10 are the best of friends and refer to each other as brother and sister.

As they have gotten older, P-Town is a lot more fun.  We jam so much into the week we are there, that everybody is happy.  We obviously go whale-watching, we fish, we swim, we have the hotel that has the private beach and pool that the kids love.  We walk downtown, get fake tattoos, eat lots of delicious dinners – but most of all just hang out at the beach or on the boat and fish and look for sea creatures.

One day when the dads had the kids out looking at the seals, I noticed a number of fins in the water and couldn’t get the words out of my mouth fast enough (as I thought with all the shark talk – especially where we were, that they were sharks).  I started hollering at the kids and dads to look, they immediately took the little boat over and it was the most gorgeous sight I have ever seen.  There were about 400 dolphins that looked like they were in a funeral procession line, one right after another diving in the water.  This went on for quite a while and the kids were right in the middle of it.

We had a wonderful, fun-filled vacation and I have made a decision that in my after life J, I would like to come back as one of these kids.  They really have it made.   Enjoy some of the pictures from our trip.
